I know that my grade 8 students have been asking for weeks when the "fish" will arrive. I've had a few asking since the first day of school if they can be in charge of caring for the aquarium. What a great program! The students love watching the stages of development of the fish, and it gives me a chance to link what they see in the tank to our science curriculum.
