Derby Fish Fries, serving delicious Georgian Bay salmon nuggets donated by derby participants, are held on both Saturday nights of the derby. The Fish Fries feed approximately 4,500 people over the two Saturdays they are held.          Owen Sound Counsellor Debbie Haswell pitches in to help during the second Salmon Spectacular Fish Fry of the derby which fed over 3,000 people.

Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch, who brings the Team Murdoch crew to prepare serve and cook for the second fish fry every year and Carl Noble, Mayor of the South Bruce Peninsula, pitch in to help make the event a success.	The last salmon to be entered in the 2001 Salmon Spectacular.
